The panel aims to bring together works on various different socio-religious communities and individuals in the Ottoman Empire that are neither Sunni-Muslim (like, e.g. 12er Shiis, Nusayris, Kızılbaş-Alevis (Şabak, Tahtacı, Çepni etc.), Bektaşis, Druzes, etc.) nor belong to one of the three millets, like, e.g. Yezidis.

The conference invites participants to consider the reach of the early Islamic Empire from the 7th to the 10th centuries CE. Papers are invited that consider the reach of law, Islamic and other, for the integration and functioning of the empire, as well as its role in the development of Islam as an ‘imperial’ religion. To what extent did ‘Islam’ serve as an integrating force, even if only for the imperial elite? Etc.

الطبعة: الرابعة. الناشر: دار المعارف بالقاهرة (تاريخ بدون). عدد صفحات الكتاب: 219 صفحة من القطع المتوسط. إعداد: مازن صلاح المطبقاني في 6 ذو القعدة 1407هـ 2 يوليه 1987م بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم المقدمة : يتحدث فيها المؤلف عن معنى التاريخ، وهل هو علم أم فن، ثم يوضح أهمية دراسة التاريخ وبعض صفات المؤرخ وملامح منهج البحث التاريخي. معنى التاريخ: يرى بعض الكتاب أن التاريخ يشمل على المعلومات التي يمكن معرفتها عن نشأة الكون بما يحويه من أجرام وكواكب ومنها الأرض، وما جرى على سطحها من حوادث الإنسان. ومثال على هذا ما فعله ويلز في كتابه "موجز تاريخ العالم". وهناك رأي آخر وهو أن التاريخ يقتصر على بحث واستقصاء حوادث الماضي، أي كل ما يتعلق بالإنسان منذ بدأ يترك آثاره على الصخر والأرض.       وكلمة تاريخ أو تأريخ وتوريخ تعنى في اللغة العربية الإعلام بالوقت، وقد يدل تاريخ الشيء على غايته ودقته الذي ينتهي إليه زمنه، ويلتحق به ما يتفق من الحوادث والوقائع الجليلة. وهو فن يبحث عن وقائع الزمن من ناحية التعيين والتوقيت، وموضوعه الإنسان والزمان، ومسائله أحواله الم...

                                      بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم                                  ما أصدق بعض الشعر الجاهلي فهذا الشاعر يصف حال بعض القبائل العربية في الغزو والكر والفر وعشقها للقتال حيث يقول البيت:   وأحياناً على بكر أخينا إذا لم نجد إلاّ أخانا. فهم سيقومون بالغزو لا محالة حتى لو كانت الغزوة ضد الأخ القريب. ومنذ أن نزل الاحتلال الأجنبي في ديار المسلمين حتى تحول البعض منّا إلى هذه الصورة البائسة. فتقسمت البلاد وتفسخت إلى أحزاب وفئات متناحرة فأصبح الأخ القريب أشد على أخيه من العدو. بل إن العدو كان يجلس أحياناً ويتفرج على القتال المستحر بين الاخوة وأبناء العمومة وهو في أمان مطمئن إلى أن الحرب التي كانت يجب أن توجه إليه أصبحت بين أبن...

الإسلام وتعلم اللغات الأجنبية

                             يردد الناس دائما الأثر المشهور :(من تعلّمَ لغةَ قوم أمن مكرهم أو أمن شرَّهُم) ويجعلونها مبرراً للدعوة إلى تعلم اللغات الأجنبية أو اللغة الإنجليزية بصفة خاصة. فهل هم على حق في هذه الدعوة؟ نبدأ أولاً بالحديث عن هذا الأثر هل هو حديث صحيح أو لا أصل له؟ فإن كان لا أصل له فهل يعني هذا أن الإسلام لا يشجع على دراسة اللغات الأجنبية وإتقانها؟ وإن كان صحيحاً فهل الإسلام يحث ويشجع على دراسة اللغات الأجنبية وإتقانها؟         لنعرف موقف الإسلام من اللغات الأخرى لا بد أن ندرك أن الإسلام دين عالمي جاء لهداية البشرية جمعاء وهذا ما نصت عليه الآيات الكريمة {وما أرسلناك إلاّ كافة للناس بشيراً ونذيراً } (سبأ آية 28) وقوله تعالى { وما أرسلناك إلاّ رحمة للعالمين } (الأنبياء آية 107) وجاء في الحديث الشريف (أوتيت خمساً لم يؤتهن نبي من قبلي، وذكر منها وكان النبي يبعث إلى قومه خاصة وبعثت إلى الناس عامة). فهل على العالم كـله أن يعرف اللغة العربية؟ وهل يمكن أن نطالب كلَّ...
