2. Symposium: “Business Meets Science in the Intercultural Dialogue - Intercultural Management at the Turkish-German University, a Partnership in Teaching, Research and Practice”, TDU Campus Istanbul-Beykoz, 19-21 October 2014

The symposium aims to bring scientists and business representatives who are engaged in matters of interculturality together. The presentations will cover politics, the intercultural dialogue and the intercultural practice. The participants of the symposium will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts at Mercedes-Benz and Siemens in Istanbul. The tasks and aims of the Turkish-German cooperation will be better determined as a result.

4. Conference: "Wild Spaces and Islamic Cosmopolitanism in Asia", National University of Singapore, 14-15 January 2015

The objectives of this conference are:
• Articulate flexible definitions of Islamic cosmopolitanism across Asia
• Examine historically and ethnographically the dialectic between Muslim and non-Muslim diversity on the one hand, and the influence of forces of enclosure which seek to regulate and homogenize belief and practice on the other
• Map the re-constitution of Muslim beliefs, practices, and networks at the blurry boundaries of spatial and regulatory enclosure as a technique of power

6. Second Gulf Studies Symposium: "Knowledge-Based Development in the Gulf," Center for Gulf Studies, American University of Kuwait, 13-15 March 2015

The GSS will bring together international and regional scholars conducting original research on these issues to engage in an interdisciplinary discussion on knowledge-based development in the Gulf. We particularly encourage scholars who utilize qualitative methods in studying knowledge economies, and we are especially interested in including scholars who work within the Gulf and use their own first-hand participation in the region’s knowledge economy to carry out their research.

9. International Conference : "Sayfo 1915 - The Genocide of Assyrians/Arameans", Freie Universität Berlin, 24-28 June 2015

The genocide of the WW1, commonly referred to as the Armenian genocide have been widely discussed by scholars across different disciplines for a long time. However, very few know of the genocide of the Assyrians/Arameans which took place in the same geography and at the same time. In this conference, we want to shed light on the fate of the Assyrians/Arameans during the WW1. The organizer will cover the travel and accommodation costs of all accepted speakers.
