Dear
Mazin,
Thank
you for your letter upon your return to Saudi Arabia. I can't tell you what a
pleasure it was
to have
you visit. Many people have commented on how interesting your presentation was,
and how impressed they were with your willingness to participate in our panel.
The Center certainly benefitted
from
your fine discussion and all the materials that you contributed to us.
Let me
also say that I enjoyed meeting you immensely and only regret that an extremely
busy week kept me from spending more time talking to you. From what I
understand, though, you were able
to make
the rounds at the Center and make contact with several professors and students.
Again, several people have mentioned to me
that they really enjoyed listening and speaking with you at the Arabic coffee
hour.
I
should be receiving the tape of the panel today, and will send it, along with a
copy of Mr. Dalbah's presentation, per your instructions. Again, thank you for
traveling so far to join us; it was truly a pleasure to have you here. And on a
personal note, thank you and please thank your daughter for the lovely gifts.
It was very kind of you both and I will treasure them always.
Sincerely,
Alison
