Nation-State in Contemporary Middle East and Caucasus"
This work seeks to demonstrate the importance of the fighting
identities as alternate explaining factors to the classic State-centrism
that takes over the studies on the region. We are proposing the inclusion
of the complete scope of heterogeneity to include elements that transform
ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic diversity of the Middle East and the
Caucasus into an intellectual necessity for comprehensively studying both regions.
